3rd January 2011 Beachy Head Overcast N1

We did a sea-watch between 08.00 - 10.00 hrs and then walked the area from Birling Gap to Belle Tout lighthouse onto the wood and then into the field before returning back to Birling. No sign of any Dartfords or Black Redstarts.

Doreen and myself decided to walk into Whitbread Hollow,checking the mist-net runs for Woodcock or Water Rail, then walk into Cow Gap and down into the Gully and onto the beach, my first time into the Hollow since my transplant. Not to many bushes with berries and therefore no Waxwings and in fact very few birds seen during our walk:
