RDME went ringing seeing the following migrants with birds trapped in brackets:
Hobby 1 catching insects by the hotel
Sparrowhawk 2
Swallow 400
House Martin 100
Yellow Wagtail 6
Nightingale 1
Grasshopper Warbler 2 (2)
Reed Warbler 25 (13) including the very dark bird retrapped (previously caught on 29/8)
Lesser Whitethroat 3 (3)
Whitethroat 250 (23)
Garden Warbler 4 (3)
Blackcap 500+ (134)
Chiffchaff 15 (4)
Willow Warbler 2 (2)
Spotted Flycatcher 1 (1)
Also RHC recorded a huge fall of passerines in his garden seeing Whitethroats, Redstarts, Wheatears, Blackcaps, Phylloscs, Spotted Flycatcher and a Wryneck the day before. Also 4 ravens fighting with 2 Peregrines.
