9th September, 2011. Beachy Head. Overcast, misty & humid. W 4 decreasing to 2

After the last few days which have been stormy, visited today and misty over the Headland although quite good visibility out to the sea. Met up with RDME & RHC at Birling & GG at Belle Tout wood.

Sea-watched with RHC for 1.25 hrs and then covered most of the Headland sites, RDME visited the Hollow area. Our combined totals as follows:

RHC has sea-watched most days this week & seen the following:

Manx Shearwater 5 W on the 5th.

Balearic Shearwater 2 W on the 5th & 1 W on the 6th.

Shags - 3-4 daily.

Osprey 1 off Birling on the 8th.
