13th August, 2011.Beachy Head. Early morning rain, than overcast becoming sunny and humid. SW 4.

A late start due to early morning rain. Sea-watched from 09.45-11.15. We then covered several sites but virtually no migrants seen, not even a single swallow.

Fulmar 6+

Balearic Shearwater 1 immediate phase E @ 10.06. Prolong good views at middle distance. Pale area on belly and under-wings.

Gannet c50 chiefly W.

Shag 2 immatures on the sea off Birling.

Common Scoter 50 W all in one flock.

Arctic Skua 7 (6 W & 1 E mainly juveniles).

Med. Gull 2 E (Ad. & 1stW)

Yellow Legged Gull 1 juv. in field by Sewage Farm.

Sandwich Tern 6 feeding off Birling
