10 Aug 2014 Beachy Head Overcast with heavy rain SW 2 increasing to SW 7

DC and BK decided to sea-watch from 06.30-13.30 and 14.45-16.15. Sea-watch conditions were difficult and they recorded the following:

Fulmar c50 mainly E
Balearic Shearwater 2 E
Gannet c500 mainly E
Grey Heron 1 circling high out to sea
Shelduck 17 E
Common Scoter 106 E and 20 W
Lesser-black back Gull 22 adults in field
Kittiwake c350 mainly E
Sandwich Tern 4 E
Common Tern 1 E
Whimbrel 10 S out to sea
Swift 45 S out to sea.
