4 Aug 2014 Beachy Head Fine sunny and warm SW 1-2

LP visited Shooters Bottom during the early morning, and RDME was ringing in Whibread Hollow. Increase in the numbers of night migrants, after the last two poor days, with Whitethroat and Reed Warbler numbers reached their daily peak for this Autumn so far, although Willow Warbler numbers were still extremely poor. Another Cuckoo seen briefly in Shooters Bottom but no diurnal migration was recorded.
Birds ringed are shown in brackets and these have been also included in the main totals.
