7 March 2014 Beachy Head Dull, overcast and cool SW 4

We sea-watched from 06.45-09.00. Met up with PN who had already walked the Belle Tout/Birling loop, and we then covered Birling lane, Belle Tout wood and Shooters Bottom. In the cool dull conditions no night migrants were seen.

Red-throated Diver 7 E and 1 on the sea.
Great-crested Grebe 3 E and 5 on the sea
Gannet 3 E
Brent Goose 642 E
Common Scoter 10 E
Peregrine 1
Mediterranean Gull 11 E
Little Gull 1 ad.w/p E

Late news from yesterday. Roger and Liz had a Black Redstart and Firecrest in Hodcombe and a Common Buzzard flew over.
