8 March 2014 Beachy Head Overcast mild. SE 2

We sea-watched from 06.40-10.40 and RDME joined us, and he also covered Birling Lane and Birling/Belle Tout loop. We also visited Belle Tout wood. Just the odd migrants were seen today including an Alba Wagtail which arrived in off the sea, our first Chiffchaff of the year and another Firecrest.

Red-throated Diver 30 E and 2 on the sea.
Great-crested Grebe 45 (22 on the sea and 23 E). Our largest daily number seen.

Brent Goose 95 E

Skylark 9 flew over the sea-watch site.
